Theme and Exhibition
The Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) plays a strategic role in advancing Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to lifelong, inclusive, and industry-responsive education. In alignment with UBD’s strategic priorities on continuous learning, innovation, and community engagement, the C3L Open Day and Lifelong Learning Festival 2026 is designed as a flagship outreach and engagement platform.
The 2026 Festival foregrounds Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as a key mechanism to widen access to higher education, recognise workplace-based and experiential learning, and support national upskilling and reskilling agendas. The event will also highlight the role of micro-credentials as flexible, stackable learning pathways that complement RPL and formal academic programmes.
The Open Day and Festival will provide a structured environment for adult learners, alumni, academics, industry partners, and public institutions to engage with C3L’s lifelong learning offerings, while strengthening partnerships and enhancing the visibility of UBD’s lifelong learning ecosystem.
Theme: Recognising Experience, Unlocking Potential
The exhibition zone will operate throughout the day and aims to showcase:
RPL pathways and advisory services
Micro-credentials and professional programmes
Digital learning platforms and lifelong learning initiatives
Participation will include UBD institutes, C3L partners, and selected external agencies. Engagement will be strictly informational and advisory in nature, with no commercial transactions.
