Micro-Master of Technical Education and Training (MMTET)

Presented jointly by UBD’s Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) and SEAMEO-VOCTECH, the Micro-Master of Technical Education and Training (MMTET) is a distinctive programme crafted for both aspiring and experienced Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) educators. This cooperative initiative is designed to empower participants with vital skills, deep knowledge, and innovative teaching methodologies that are crucial in the realm of technical education. MMTET seamlessly integrates theory and practice, equipping enrollees to proficiently navigate and excel in the dynamic and ever-changing landscape of technical education and training, thereby fostering a global impact by enhancing the quality of teaching and learning experiences in the technical education sector.

The student must complete all five core modules, subject specific modules, workplace-based practicum and optional modules.

Fees 

  • 4 MCs module — B$ 700.00 per module
  • 8 MCs module — B$ 1,400.00 per module
  • 40 MCs (total) — B$ 7,000.00

Minimum Admission Requirements

An applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) recognised by BDNAC and UBD, OR relevant work experience of at least five (5) years.

General requirements

An applicant must acquire at least a credit in the English Language at GCE’ O’ Level Examination or a grade ‘B’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum overall score of 550 or a pass in the UBD Bridging English Course or Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test.
