About the workshop

This public lecture will explore the transformative potential of integrating personalized occupational toxicology and occupational hygiene to enhance workplace health and safety. By combining innovative approaches like genetic profiling, biomarker monitoring, and advanced analytics with traditional hazard control measures, the event will showcase how individualized risk assessments can lead to more precise prevention strategies and improved health outcomes. Real-world applications, such as the impact of benzene and 1,2-DCE exposure, will be discussed, alongside the influence of geographic and behavioral factors on occupational risks.

Emphasizing the critical role of occupational hygiene, the lecture will highlight how personalized approaches can refine hazard identification, evaluation, and control. By fostering a deeper understanding of the interplay between genetics, environment, and behavior, the event aims to inspire innovative solutions for safer workplaces. Attendees will gain insights into developing dynamic health promotion programs that reduce occupational diseases, absenteeism, and foster a culture of safety, ultimately benefiting both workers and organizations.
