University Bridging Programme
The University Bridging programme (UniBridge) is a one-semester full time programme offered by the Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L), UBD. It was developed to cater the needs of learners who do not fulfil the entry requirements to the undergraduate degree programmes in UBD.
Completion Requirement
Students must pass all 4 core modules and 1 optional modules to successfully complete the UniBridge programme.
Successful completion of the UniBridge programme enables you to apply for admission to UBD’s Bachelor degrees programmes – Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Sciences and Bachelor of Arts (Brunei Studies).

Entry Requirements
General Requirement
- Grade C6 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination ; or
- Grade ‘B’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) ; or
- IELTS score of 6.0 ; or
- TOEFL minimum overall score of 550 ; or
- Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test.
‘A’ Level Qualification or equivalent
- 120 points for two (2) ‘A’ Level passes of a minimum grade D in relevant subjects; or
- 120 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes or equivalent in subjects relevant to the intended Bachelor degree
Bachelor Degree – Specific Requirements
- A Credit in Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent for intended entry into the Bachelor of Business programme;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes of a minimum grade D or equivalent, OR three (3) ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in relevant subjects, INCLUDING at least two in Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Computing for intended entry into the Bachelor of Science programme;
- Successful performance in an interview or test (if required)
International Baccalaureate
- An International Baccalaureate with score of 22 points
First Year Bachelor’s Degree
- Applicants who are applying from a First year of Bachelor’s degree programme, from institutions recognized by the Senate would be considered on a case-by-case basis
Higher National Diploma Qualification (HND) / Advanced Diploma
- A pass in HND or Advanced Diploma or its equivalent
Programme Duration
The UniBridge programme is one-semester consisting of 14 weeks (3-4months).
Fees
- Acceptance Fee — B$100.00 (one time paymeyt)
- Registration Fee — B$ 20.00(one time payment)
- Tuition Fee (Brunei / P.R Student) — B$500.00 per module
- Tuition Fee (International Student) — B$700.00 per module
